Ms. Cornell has traveled to North and South America, Europe, China, and the Soviet Union teaching master classes and mentoring tap and music communities. She has taught at numerous universities and colleges worldwide.
She co-created TapMotif (with Thanos Daskalopoulos, producer) a music/tap summit in Lefkada, Greece, where her concepts of training free thinking “bilingual” artists in music and dance are put into action.
For 23 years Heather has held the NY Rhythm Tap Intensive, a 58-hour session that she co-teaches with NYC’s best world and jazz musicians.
She holds private Salons for groups of up to five students at her music/tap studio where she mentors pre-professional and professional students in their quest to deepen their artistic voice and their connection to music.
Join us this summer in Halifax, Nova Scotia for the 35th Anniversary of Tap Labs!
August 11th-15th 2025
Heather will lead you through mornings of musical tap technique and afternoons with a focus on artistic explorations including collaborative musicians.
